Jan 23 ( 4th Monday) | 2012 Introduction to Pointed Pen Our focus for 2012 will be Pointed Pen Variations. It will be an exciting year to learn about all the wonderful ways to use the Pointed Pen. Nibs will be available to try and buy (if you're interested) and Darby Kruger the "Nib Meister" will be there to help you find the nib that best fits your writing style. We will also have many different examples of pointed pen styles on display. Bring your camera, a bottle of ink and some different papers on which to experiment. |
Feb 27 (4th Monday) | "Calligrapholders"
Nancy Brones will lead us in constructing themed folders to showcase whatever lettering styles we choose. Themes to choose from include travel, alphabets, gardening & flowers, family, and romance. Materials provided will include embellishments, ephemera, ribbons and decorative papers. Supply List: ruler, pencil, good glue stick (Tombow or Uhu) or tape runner, scissors, cutting mat and Xacto knife. Special pieces of ribbon, ticket stubs, cards, seedpacks and other attachments are also helpful. This is for all levels of calligraphers.
